Main Mission

For those of you who may not know the whole story, when my husband, David Prentice, was diagnosed with brain cancer, he wanted to help others with cancer to have the resources for their highest health and care. David was his health advocate, and he found that so many resources were unavailable in the traditional hospital or treatments. He had to seek them out and do a lot of work to discover a hidden world of survivors and hope. David became too ill to start a non-profit as desired. When he passed, I knew that I wanted to start a nonprofit but did not know who or how I would help.

When I wrote “The Power of Self-Belief” after David passed, I started a non-profit organization called Self-Evolution Education (S.E.E.). I wanted to share with others the life knowledge that supported me through David’s terminal illness, decline, and death and how I moved through the loss. Four years since David’s reintegration, I have found my true calling for the non-profit and who I am passionate about helping: Caregivers and those who have lost their loved one! I was not the one with cancer; I was the one caring for someone with cancer and lost my loved one. I do know about caregiving and loss and I can support others in their caregiving journey to a loved one, and through loss.

The mission of SEE is to support and empower caregivers with community, self-care practices, and the power of Self-belief. Join our online Facebook community, Self-Caregiving For Caregivers. The Foundation ships the beautiful soft cover of “The Power of Self-Belief” to a caregivers home. Why this is so important to me send the book, is because it not only holds a relatable story for caregivers but the life teachings that empowered me through devastation and find blessings, hope, love, and purpose in my life, relationships, and career. The book cover is a reminder to believe in yourself and symbolizes transformation, strength, resilience, change, and rebirth. The brightly colored butterfly on a nightstand or coffee table, is a reminder of the inner power of Self-belief.
