Caren’s Story
My journey began at 16, in my very first yoga class.
As an introverted artist searching for meaning, the yoga mat became my sanctuary — a place where I experienced peace, self-connection, strength, and wholeness for the first time. That experience quietly shaped the direction of my life and planted the seed for the work I would one day share with others.
For over a decade, I immersed myself in the world of yoga, wellness, and personal transformation, eventually opening and growing my own yoga studios and communities. Around that same time, I met my late husband, David Prentice, whose unwavering self-belief and entrepreneurial spirit deeply impacted my life. Together we built businesses, dreamed big, and created a beautiful life filled with growth, purpose, and possibility.
Then everything changed.
Just one year after our wedding in Italy, David was diagnosed with terminal brain cancer.
Becoming his caregiver transformed me completely. It forced me to slow down, reevaluate what truly mattered, and confront life, love, grief, and purpose on a much deeper level. During that season, our priorities shifted away from achievement and toward presence, meaning, and human connection.
Then the pandemic arrived, bringing another layer of uncertainty and loss. I closed my physical yoga studio and transitioned my work online, supporting my community through spiritual guidance, wellness practices, and emotional resilience during one of the most difficult chapters of our lives.
Losing David at the age of 30 shattered me.
But within that grief, I also discovered a deeper level of self-belief, strength, and transformation than I had ever known before.
Over the next five years, I rebuilt my life from the inside out.
I transformed my relationship with my body, health, nervous system, environment, and identity. What began as a midlife crisis slowly became a midlife creation.
That transformation ultimately inspired my newest e-book, From Midlife Crisis to Midlife Creation: The Five Steps to Reclaim Your Life and Reclaim Your Power, written to support women navigating grief, reinvention, healing, and major life transitions.
At 47 years old, I followed a lifelong dream and relocated from Michigan to the Colorado Rockies, where I continue to create a life aligned with simplicity, nourishment, vitality, purpose, and freedom.
Today, my work, Midlife Body Alignment, blends decades of experience in yoga, wellness, nourishment, nervous system regulation, movement, and personal transformation into a simple, natural, and sustainable approach for women seeking to feel strong, connected, empowered, and fully alive in midlife.
My mission is no longer about perfection.
It’s about helping women reconnect with themselves, reclaim their vitality, and create extraordinary lives from the ashes of what they’ve survived.
Love and light,
Caren Paskel
